I upgraded from a mix of libstdc++-2.96-69 and gcc-2.95.3 to the RH7.1 libs 
and the dcopidl problem went away. So I guess it's either I had a bad mix 
of libs and compiler or kde22 doesn't compile on gcc2.95.3 -- probably the 
former.
