Ah well Paul, some of us have the future of kde at heart and would like to
create a responsive and useful customer support environment. If that means
talking and listening to others to get their input then I at least am
prepared to do it.
KDE is a community project, it is up to us to create its future. There are a
lot of developers doing excellent work and supporting them with documentation
writing, promotion, tech support and many other things are essential and
important tasks.
Unfortuneately however there is no management guidance committee to tell
us sheep what to do so we have to get off our butts and do things ourselves,
that involves communication and debate. If the consensus is that we should
start a newsgroup or something instead then that is what we should do.

Irrespective if a large corporation has expressed an intrest in getting
behind a user support effort (a venture of incalculable benefit to kde as it
proliferates in the wider community) I for one will do everything in my power
to make it so.
