No, it just doesn't work.

I find that the KOrganizer Handbook is just a table of contents, so that
doesn't help.

Despite SystemSettings being GNOMEized, I did manage to find the Akondi
Configuration, but there is no Help for that.

Akondi Configuration is now in: "Personal Information" the calendar
file: "std.ics" did not say ready, so I removed and reinstalled it.
Apparently, it did not find the file which I think is in the default
location for KDE4: $HOME/.kde/share/apps/korganizer/std.ics. I had to
tell it where to find the file and then it said "Ready".

I find that it is also necessary to check the calendar file in the
window at the left bottom of the KOrganizer main window.

I have set: "Use Holiday Region" to "None", and it didn't really help.
Still quite slow, but it does work.
