In case anyone is interested, I found two statements in my \
/etc/X11/Xresources file that appear to be the culprit:
XMathematica*XmText.translations:
XMathematica*Text.translations:
I added those lines some time ago on recommendation from Wolfram support \
because of a "delete-next-character" warning message problem issued by the \
Mathematica front end. See
http://support.wolfram.com/mathematica/systems/linux/intel/deletenext.html
I don't know what those statements do, but I'll leave it for Wolfram to \
resolve. If anyone has any comment on this, what those statements do, et \
cetera, I welcome it. Thanks,
Richard
