Hello,

When compiling koffice 1.4.2 from source on a FC4 system it stops
with:

---
make[4]: Entering directory
`/home/kde3/koffice-1.4.2/filters/kword/msword'
/bin/sh ../../../libtool --silent --mode=link --tag=CXX g++

/bin/sed: can't read /usr/lib/libxml2.la: No such file or directory
libtool: link: `/usr/lib/libxml2.la' is not a valid libtool archive
make[4]: *** [libmswordimport.la] Fel 1
---

The important psrt being:
---
grep: /usr/lib/libxml2.la: No such file or directory
---

After some search I found:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=154142
but I can't find any way to make koffice compile. As I understand it
libxml2.la is gone and will remain gone. ("No this is a policy
decision, we won't packages .la anymore."). So I guess the dependency
will be removed some time later.

Is there a work-around possible for koffice 1.4.2?

Regards
Jan
