Alternatively, if you are running the script in another session of the same 
console, you can use the variable KONSOLE_DCOP as the DCOP reference
dcop $KONSOLE_DCOP newSession

Unfortunately Konsole seems not to have the "qt" interface which usually 
allows activating actions by DCOP.
