In the Regional and Accessibility section of KDE Control Center is all ok.
Plus I have check the italian map for my keyboard, but in StarOffice the
€ symbol doesn't work.
Sometime, if I copy it from an old document and I past it in a new one a
strange symbol like an asterisc appears instead.
I have OpenOffice installed too, and into it all works fine.
The problem is in the installation of StarOffice..........
Another problem is that I've installed some truetype fonts from winzoz
and I can find them in OpenOffice but not in SO.
Thanks
Carlos

It's a long time since I ran SO, but you used to have to run a setup program,
first as root, then as user. I wonder if this is still there? I know font
recognition was one of the things that the root setup sorted out, and
printing was another.

You really need a SO user to come in with ideas, now. Sorry I can't be more
help.

Anne
