As I was saying earlier if you save your profile with the save url box ticked
it then becomes the default page for that browser.
For instance; Open a konq browser window, go to yahoo.com for example and then
choose "Save view profile 'webbrowsing' " from the settings menu. On the
window that comes up ensure that 'save url in profile' is selected and it
will then be your opening page until such a time as you save a new url.
You can also make copies of the profiles with different urls and different
names. You may have noticed in kde >3.3 that there is a profile called kde
development that opens a Konq with 5 tabs; 3 of which are kde/qt/bugtrack web
sites documents and the other 2 are local for info and man pages. Very handy
for development work.

You can also manually set the urls direct in the profile files which are in
the /usr/share/apps/konqueror/profiles or the equiv place in your
distribution for system wide profiles or prob the equiv place in each
users .kde/share/apps/konq folder but a profile may not exist there until it
has been saved at least once otherwise the systemwide one is used.
