For the last 2 years I have been regularly answering questions on a newbie 
mailing list about errors saying that there is a filter = True error which 
stops printing.  It seems to me that it happens when I have printed from 
kprinter, but not when I print from xpp - I tested this by setting Mozilla to 
print from kprinter, then, after a few prints, to print from xpp.

The solution is easy enough, but it's a major annoyance in the frequency that 
it happens.  Is there any way of avoiding the problem?

In case it's relevant, the printer I use is an HP Deskjet 990.
