Hi Bill,

One way I can think of is from a PC running an X Windows emulator, 
connect to your Linux box using an XDMCP session (assuming that is 
allowed on your Linux box - not on by default on Suse).  You should be 
able to capture the login screen using ALT-PrintScreen.
