Several programs that I installed have icons on the desktop.

They used to start just fine but lately I get an error sound and message box that says:

The Desktop entry
file/home/lba/Desktop/Opera.desktop has no
Type= ... entry
     OK button

What does this mean and how can I fix it?

I've not been playing with the Desktop at all.
