For anyone who's interested, I figured out how to do this. I attached
directions to the above mentioned bug ID, but will include here:
You activate this feature by:
1) Setting up the contact by clicking the Edit Name on the General tab for a
contact and on the drop down select Organization. Set on a contact by contact
basis.
2) In the main Kaddressbook, go to the View/Modify View menu, add Formatted
Name to the Selected Fields, and remove the Family Name and Given Name
fields.
