Hi,

I'm trying to use my multi media keyboard with KDE. My keyboard model is not
listed in the keyboard layout Control Center module. Using xev and xmodmap, I
have been able to assign valid XF86 keycodes to each key. Now, when I use the
KHotkeys module, I can create actions for each key. The Configure Shortcut
dialog where you can press the key to bind to the action works ok too: the
assigned XF86 code is displayed.
However, for almost all keys that's all. The action itself does not work, it
does not get triggered. Note that the same happens if I assign the key to
another appliction's "Configure Shortcuts...": no reaction.

Can anyone point me to what step I have missed? I thought that once the key is
recognized ok, it should work, but obviously I'm mistaken...

Regards,

André
