Certainly, that is the proper fix. However, I believe most people
prefer to make a few links instead of patching and recompiling
kdebase. Many install from rpm and have no way to apply this patch.
My kdebase-3.3.0 still has the old code, so 3.3.1 will be the first
release with the patch. Until then the links will make Kxkb work and
they will do no harm.
I just patched my kdebase-3.3.0/kxkb/rules.cpp and kxkb compiled ok
with the patch and also now works without the links. So that is the
proper way, but for most people just not yet!
