Hello,

Since upgrading to FC2 and thus to xorg I was unable to switch
keyboard with Kxkb. The program opened, but all fields were blank and
no input possible. Today I solved the problem and as it's quite
simple and others also may have this problem here is the fix:

In /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xkb/rules/ make two softlinks:
[root@oden rules]# ln -s xorg.xml xfree86.xml
[root@oden rules]# ln -s xorg.lst xfree86.lst
I had a link from xorg to xfree86. If you are missing it make that one
as well:
[root@oden rules]# ln -s xorg xfree86

After restarting Kxkb all was back to normal. It seems that Kxkb only
looks for xfree86, not xorg, so a few links will solve the problem
until Kxkb is updated.

Regards
Jan
