Since by definition, an EPS file can ONLY be one page, the question is: exactly 
what is going on here?

What is the name of this mystery file?  Does it have an extension: 'eps'?  If 
so, I suggest that you should be able to solve the problem by changing the 
extension to: 'ps'.
