Another oditty trying to build qt-3.2.x/kde-3.1.x on redhat 7.3.

After an initial qt-3.2/kdelibs-3.1.4 build/install, now I can't 
(re)build qt-3.2.3 anymore, I get lots of compiler errors (in using the 
just-compiled uic) of the form:

/usr/local/tmp/kde-redhat/BUILD/qt-x11-free-3.2.3/bin/uic -L 
/usr/local/tmp/kde-redhat/BUILD/qt-x11-free-3.2.3/plugins 
sqlformwizard.ui -i sqlformwizard.h -o sqlformwizard.cpp
/usr/local/tmp/kde-redhat/BUILD/qt-x11-free-3.2.3/bin/uic: relocation 
error: /usr/lib/libkio.so.4: undefined symbol: 
unregisterStaticDeleter__7KGlobalP18KStaticDeleterBase
