Are the partitions on that hard drive mounted? Your hard drive will be
allocated an identifier like hdb (hda will be your primary hard drive).
If you have a configuration tool with your distribution like Mandrake or
Suse then you should be able to see your hard drive, view the partitions
on the hard drive and ensure that they are mounted at boot time in the
/etc/fstab file. Failing that it may be hardware that Linux doesn't
like, but if it's just an additional hard drive I doubt it.
