Hello,

i have a problem with KDEs practise of creating files in the users homedir.
Especially with the links that KDE creates.

In my feature setup Linuxboxes will mount a samba share (users homedir) and then
they will start KDE.
This doesnt work because KDE can't create this DCOPServer files on the samba
share, so KDE won't start.

Is there a possibility of telling KDE not to write these files in the user dir
but into something like /tmP/$USER/...?

I find this KDE behaviour very disturbing because for backup reasons the users
home dir should only contain config files (. dirs) or data, but no sockets or
runtime files.

bye
  Daniel
