When I tried to send mail from kmail using a DSL connection it failed with a message that authenication was required. With the same SMTP settings, I tried again from mozilla, was asked for the mail account password, entered it and the message was successfully transmitted. I double checked the kmail settings but found no way to enter the password. What is wrong? My system is Debian Stable with a 2.24.28 kernel. dpkg -p kmail reports Version: 4:2.2.2-14.6 ___________________________________________________ This message is from the kde-linux mailing list.
