hi list,
thanks for everyone and your ideas,
think have found the "bug" - the reason - and I hope that was the reason was, 
that I had running a kmail on my rh-linuxhost. was logged in as my own user 
via ssh in my mdk-box and and had called kmail a 2nd time. now that I have 
finished that kmail on the remote host, kmail can send without problems. 

One interesting question I have anyway :
why was it possible to receive mails, but could not send messages - though I 
had 2 kmails up and run ? any ideas ? maybe, that a "socket" or a similar 
basics cannot share that jobs ?

another reason for freezing my XServer was evolution. Now, that I have up and 
running kmail, and am NOT using evolution, my mdk-8.2-box is running more 
stabil than before.

has anyone here the same or similar experiences with ?
