From this, I assume that you listed the directory where the plugin is in
the widget, clicked the scan button and looked under the: "Plugins" tab
and didn't find the plugin.

Is this the case?  Or, is the plugin listed there, but it doesn't work? 
Or, do you get messages that the plugin isn't installed when you go to a
site that uses Flash?
