First, switch HTML off when posting to lists. The above quote shows what most 
people see - you won't get a solution if people have trouble reading about 
your problems!

Did you delete all the kde* stuff in /tmp? That often helps. Also, switch to 
a text console and see if you have any .DCOP* files in your home directory. 
(Use "ls -la") They sometimes get in the way too.

What I occasionally do when I screw up KDE is create a new user (called test) 
from yast in a text console. Then try to log that user in with KDE - they are 
guaranteed a clean environment. Don't forget to delete the user afterwards 
though.
