All, It seems to be the general concensus to maintain multiple files. I greatly appriciate everyone's input, but I have one more simple question. I've already been instructed how to package only the needed files to compile into a tar(Thanks Kevin!). Now, once someone extracts the files and: $ ../configure $ make Shouldn't that be all I need to compile and create the programs executable? What is the need for make install What does it do? I can't seem to find documentation on it. Thanks again everyone! Sincerely, Justin R. Gortner ___________________________________________________ This message is from the kde-linux mailing list.
