Hi all:
I have accidentally found a lack of robustness in KDE 2.2.2. I was
recompliling Kinkatta on my SuSE 7.3 to correct the KDEDIR path when I
accidently changed the name of Kinternet SuSE's Internet connectoid. When I
did this KDE just refussed to start. As this is not a core file program I
feel that KDE should have completed the start up and displayed some error
message as to the problem file.
I had to bring up Gnome to find and correct the misnamed file. After the file
name was restored the KDE desktop was able to start/open with out a problem.
I hope some KDE developer can use this to strengthen the KDE desktop start up
routines.
