NO stay away from Evolution and anything else from Ximian.  It has destroyed
my installation 3 times to where I had to do a complete reinstall of Linux.
Ximian and Red Hat do not play well together.

I think this guys is talking about using authentication on his OUTGOING (ie,
SMTP) mail server.  Netscape indeed does allow specifying a username for
this, just as Evolution does (which, by the way, I strongly recommend over
KMail)...
