Oh ok, great. I'll try it again when I get home, but I'm 100% sure I tried everything yesterday and I simply couldn't get any text into Krita from pasting.

Works here, if you use the multiline text shape. In any case, we know the text tool sucks, and
rewriting it is one of the big topics for next month's kickstarter :-)
