I like how the prefix 'Tilt' inform the user it's a tilt feature ; and how the suffix are also informative. _____________________ http://www.davidrevoy.com 2014-06-06 21:29 GMT+02:00 Wolthera : > Ascension and Declination are arcane terms. > After discussing the various options on IRC we came to the following > conclusions: > > Ascension: > Tilt-Rotation is confusing with existing sensor, plus Tilt-Direction > reminds one of a compass. > > Declination: > Tilt-Angle was confusing because both values are angles. > Tilt-Height was confusing because it didn't imply any angle. > Tilt-perpendicularity was considered too long. > Tilt-Elevation was considered the best option. > > As to order(Tilt-direction/Tilt-elevation vs Direction-tilt/Elevation-tilt) > Stuartmd on IRC: Tilt-Direction and Tilt-Elevation read a lot easier(to me > at least) > you immediately know what they relate to the other way round sounds like > you're talking about the way the direction is tilted, to my mind :) > > So in conclusion: > > 'Ascension' becomes 'Tilt-direction'. > 'Declination' becomes 'Tilt-elevation'. > > I hope this'll work out :) > > -- > Wolthera > > _______________________________________________ > Krita mailing list > kimageshop@kde.org > https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kimageshop > > --047d7b673d5e4b658f04fb31abc6 Content-Type: text/html; charset=UTF-8 Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable
Really cool. I like how the prefix 'Tilt' inform t= he user it's a tilt feature ; and how the suffix are also informative.<= br>

Ascension and Declination ar= e arcane terms.
After discussing the various options on IRC we came to t= he following conclusions:

Ascension:
Tilt-Rotation is= confusing with existing sensor, plus Tilt-Direction reminds one of a compa= ss.

Declination:
Tilt-Angle was confusing because both value= s are angles.
Tilt-Height was confusing because it didn't impl= y any angle.
Tilt-perpendicularity was considered too long.
Tilt-Elevation was considered the best option.

= As to order(Tilt-direction/Tilt-elevation vs Direction-tilt/Elevation-tilt)=
Stuartmd on IRC: Tilt-Direction and Tilt-Elevation read a lot easier(to= me at least)
you immediately know what they relate to the other way round sounds like yo= u're talking about the way the direction is tilted, to my mind :)
So in conclusion:

'Ascension' become= s 'Tilt-direction'.
'Declination' becomes 'Tilt-elevation'.

I hope this'll work out :)
