Just an idea:
Use the pressure sensitivity,
on low pressure, hatch a big area with few lines,
on high pressure, hatch a small area with many lines.
Also the "direction history" could be taken into account. if making a long
curve, it is a sharp edge, if making many turns, it would be an area.
I don't know, if it would be usable, how much time it would take to
develop and if it's feasible for gsoc.
