okay, I will try to implement it. I will come up with more questions soon. Another concern is the size of the pop up palette. Yesterday I changed the size from 200x200 to 220x220. Is it too big? I couldn't resize the colour triangle. I can somehow try to squeeze everything in, but it won't help much (and will be a little bit crowded)

Yes, that's exactly why I would like to have a lock method. For instance, I
don't use an eraser all that much, but I'd still like to be able to get it
from the popup palette.
