I'm afraid not -- for two reasons: it's a pretty advanced project that will
take quite a bit of work, but the other reason is that Google wants students
to work full-time for their stipendium.

Google forgot that european students still have university courses during gsoc. From my own experience I can say that it's difficult to do both at the same time and it's even harder if you don't know the code yet.
