On the Gimp developer list, I've seen people mention new
natural-media-like brushes. However, it'd only get included in Gimp 2.6.

In the meantime though, something like that would be nice for Krita, since
Krita is trying to reproduce natural media as well. Would anyone consider
contacting the brush artist and asking her if they could be implemented in
Krita?

(provided, of course, that the Krita team would like to have a go at
implementing them)
