Not really, it's a bit weird to have a convulution return different results 
depending on whether a paint device is copied or not -- we do a straight copy 
of all tiles.

Could you check with kdDebug whether the extent, exact extent are the same, 
and do an iterator loop over both src and interm and alert when pixels 
differ? That way you are sure the pixels are the same.
