That would be useful: the names I found when I started looking at them were 
absolutely horrible -- but I'm hardly capable of doing better. I'll go with 
Alan's suggestion for now and use "Paint" for Krita -- but I'm not sure what 
would be the best thing for Karbon.


So:

krita.desktop

Name=Krita
GenericName=Paint

kritapart.desktop
Name=Krita
GenericName=Paint Component

How about that?


Anyway... This shows that we can indeed give Alan a free hand with the menu 
organization since nobody really had any reaction to his menu suggestions. 
Have fun, Alan! (Don't touch the filters menu, though, because I'm working on 
a different way to load the filters and that will affect the menu handling).
