Thanks -- one live and learns. I've for now given up on trying to create a=
=20
transparent temporary layer and compositing with that, because QPixmap=20
doesn't support that anyway, and I'have to get the drawing routines from
somewhere else. Probably from the old tools themselves, that used to work on
a blob of bytes as far as I can see.
