Esentially, when enabling the emmbeded terminal emulator in kate (or konqueror for that \
matter), the fonts look like garbage (AA is enabled). This also used to happen with konsole, \
but playing around with the font sizes fixes this (the current default for konsole is fine \
too). If it were possible to configure the settings for these embedded terminals, then the \
problem could be fixed, but I've yet to see an option such as this.

On a side note, there was a breif stint when the fonts were fine (prior to the 2.2 release), \
but during that time I also upgraded X to 4.1.99.1 (DRI CVS), so it may be that...
