Subject: [Kde-kant] Bug#31097: bash comments not highlighted correctly
From: mjparme () asde ! net
Date: 2001-08-20 2:56:41
[Download RAW message or body]
Package: kate
Version: 1.0 (using KDE 2.2.0 )
Severity: normal
Installed from: compiled sources
Compiler: gcc version 2.95.3 20010315 (release)
OS: Linux (i586) release 2.4.5
OS/Compiler notes:
When using Bash syntax highlighting comments are only highlighted if the "#" (bash \
comment symbol) is at the beginning of the line. i.e. all the way to the left of the \
editing window. If a comment is indented at all it is not highlighted as a comment. \
This worked correctly in Advanced Editor in KDE 2.1 but is broken in Kate and \
Advanced Editor in KDE 2.2.
Example:
#This comment would be highlighted
if [ whatever ]
then
some code
#This comment would not be highlighted
some code
fi
I have not tested this behavior in other highlighting modes besides Bash.
