Subject: [Kde-kant] Bug#31021: Font spacing for many fonts is wrong
From: hrabe () balrog ! aecom ! yu ! edu
Date: 2001-08-19 5:21:52
[Download RAW message or body]
Package: kate
Version: 1.0 (using KDE 2.2.0 )
Severity: normal
Installed from: compiled sources
Compiler: gcc version 2.96 20000731 (Red Hat Linux 7.1 2.96-85)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.3-12
OS/Compiler notes:
The default font works fine but selecting something different like Ariel or Verdana \
gives very wide kerning (distance between characters). It is also shown in the config \
dialog. Furthermore, the default font does not respect the general setting of fonts \
in the control center. KWrite has the same problem. I use X server with TT font \
support and antialiasing.
Thanks,
Honza
