Subject: Bug#39815: kate: overwriting when pasting into another file
From: babelinfo () yahoo ! de
Date: 2002-03-26 12:16:33
[Download RAW message or body]
Package: kate
Version: 1.0 (using KDE 2.2.2 )
Severity: normal
Installed from: compiled sources
Compiler: gcc version 2.96 20000731 (Red Hat Linux 7.1 2.96-98)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.17
OS/Compiler notes:
When copying a large selction from file A in kate into the clipboard, then opening \
file B in kate, placing the cursor at the start of the file and pasting the cliboard \
entry leads to the following: if the clipboard entry is n lines long, exactly n lines \
are over-written, rather than allocating n new lines and prepending them before the \
original contents of file B.
