Highlighted text overwrites the selection buffer when the next key is hit. This makes \
the editing sequence "select text, Control-C, select text, Control-V" impossible. \
Note that this is not the same as "Search & Replace". Apart from the fact that I can \
replace varying pieces of text this way, it is simply a faster operation than Search \
& Replace.
