Subject: syntax highlighting for PHP broke
From: cshobe@softhome.net

Package: kate
Version: 1.0 (using KDE 2.2.2 )
Severity: normal
Installed from: compiled sources
Compiler: gcc version 2.95.3 20010315 (release)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.16
OS/Compiler notes:

This bug is marked as done in the bugs.kde.org database. It is most certainly not done, at \
least in KDE 2.2.1 and KDE 2.2.2, which I have on two very different LFS machines, reproducing \
the same results.

I load up a PHP file or type one and select that it should use PHP syntax highlighting (which \
worked great in 2.1.1). It makes a nasty attempt, changes some of the text to green, and \
leaves it at that. I have to choose C++ in order to have any sort of useful syntax \
highlighting for PHP.

This also happens in kwrite on both versions/machines.

Machine 1 has KDE compiled 586 optimized.
Machine 2 has KDE compiled 386 optimized, all defaults, but I'm using prelinking.

I used GCC 2.95.3 on both machines.
