Hello all,

I have started the implementation of the new design by removing most of the 
previous implementations code. I have left in methods and functions that I 
think we will use in the new implementation.

Please see the TODO file for some notes, and could everyone keep this file 
upto date with stuff that needs doing.

The main things we need to implement now:

 - Slots don't work for some reason ;-)
 - There is no main widget yet (didn't have time)
