The good thing about the changes I propse is that if the host
application doesn't support it, the plugin can either simply not work,
or regress to a more manual functionality.
At the moment for example, the gallery plugin is basically a separate
application with a little bit of a UI to help pick imags from the host
applications lists. This interface can be kept, but a more advanced
interface can allow for proper syncing.
So the changes I propose would indeed be optional. :)
Out of curiosity, who is the one to decide. Being new to this dev group,
I'm not really clear on who's who yet :)
All the best
Col.
