Ciao,

siamo una delle lingue affette da questo problema.

Al momento nella maggior parte dei casi entrambe le voci sono tradotte
"Schermata d'avvio", anche se "Splash screen" viene tradotto in vari casi
(anche al di fuori di Plasma) come "Schermata iniziale". Forse sarebbe il caso
di andare su:

- Boot splash screen -> schermata d'avvio
- Splash screen -> schermata iniziale.

Cosa ne pensate? I pacchetti menzionati (plymouth e splashscreen) sono gestiti
principalmente da Vincenzo e Paolo, ma ci sono varie occorrenze di "splash
screen" come "schermata iniziale" in altri programmi (al volo vedo digikam,
kile, kmymoney, ma non ho fatto una ricerca approfondita).

Hi,

in systemsettings there are two similar but different modules. One is
for the splash screen (the thing that shows between entering your
password and the desktop being loaded). That's kcm_splashscreen. The
other one is for the Plymouth boot screen (the thing that shows between
powering on the machine and entering your password). The English name in
systemsettings for the former is "Splash Screen", for the latter it's
"Boot Splash Screen".

It seems that in some languages these names are translated to the same
term, which isn't great since then there are two different but
identically named entries in systemsettings. See

Please make sure to translate those to distinguishable names.
