Ciao,
sono costretto a tornare a fare presente un problema importante visto che
nella mia precedente di fatto non sono riuscito a far capire la situazione e
visto l'insuccesso sperimentato anche provando a contattare personalmente
gli interessanti.
Cerco di riepilogare il tutto:
su UserBase sono stati scritti alcuni manuali di applicazioni. Come è noto a
tutti sul medesimo sito è attivo un sistema di traduzione (tramite
un'estensione per mediakiwi). Alcuni di questi manuali, ritenuti pronti,
sono stati inseriti tra le pagine da tradurre. Tra questi alcuni sono stati
tradotti in italiano sul sito.
Alcuni di questi manuali (gli originali inglesi naturalmente) sono stati poi
convertiti in manuali "tradizionali" andando ad aggiornare i corrispettivi
presenti su svn. Quasi tutti questi manuali caricati su svn presentano
inequivocabili messaggi "Part of this documentation was converted from the
&kde; UserBase" oppure "This documentation was converted from the KDE
UserBase".
Su userbase la conversione delle pagine in manuali su svn non è segnalata.
Per caso mi sono accorto del problema e l'ho quindi qui segnalato.
Il problema quindi in modo esplicito:
alcune pagine sono state tradotte su userbase. Gli originali inglesi sono
stati poi convertiti in documentazione su svn e tradotti una seconda volta.
Questa situazione non può naturalmente continuare: una sola persona si deve
occupare di un determinato messaggio.
Naturalmente, come è facilmente comprensibile, non sempre i messaggi inglesi
su userbase coincidono alla lettera a quelli presenti su svn perché
naturalmente la fonte del manuale viene aggiornata ed ampliata con maggiore
frequenza rispetto a quella che di fatto è una sua copia convertita (non
vengono sincronizzati in continuazione).

Questo per ora, ma mi sono ulteriormente informato e c'è l'idea di ampliare
questa modalità di creazione dei manuali tramite userbase, già altri manuali
sono in preparazione (esempio: krita, kdevelop).
I primi 3 sopracitati sono stati quasi completamente tradotti su userbase,
l'ultimo per fortuna no.
Quindi chiedo nuovamente che gli interessati si facciano carico delle pagine
su userbase relative ai file sotto la loro responsabilità. Come l'altra
volta, come gesto di buona volontà, "metto sul piatto" anche la possibilità
di farmi carico del lavoro per i file di cui ho già tradotto le pagine
relative su userbase. Visto che alcuni hanno considerato questa offerta come
un mio tentativo di "appropriazione indebita" dei loro file privati,
sottolineo che detesto i file di documentazione, ne ho infatti solo due
assegnati: uno d'ufficio e l'altro (rekonq) l'ho preso in carico dopo averlo
visto senza un responsabile ed essermi proprio accorto che contiene messaggi
da me già tradotti su userbase.
La mia speranza è solo una, cioè che gli interessati vengano su userbase.
Non ci si può aspettare che debba impiegare ulteriormente il mio tempo
facendo lavori di copia/incolla di messaggi altrui da svn a userbase.
Qualsiasi domanda è più che gradita (veramente!), basta che non riguardi la
negazione del problema, ho già letto abbastanza al riguardo.
Perdonate la mia frustrazione e la lunghezza del messaggio, ma non potevo a
questo punto non inserire esempi dei messaggi.
