Well I got several problems with meinproc too. At work we got RH 7.1 and 
meinproc complains about some tablesomething in the index.docbook which it 
can't parse with libxslt. But that's not my problem. I have another one at 
home on RH 6.2, my meinproc coredumps ...

meinproc --check --cache index.cache.bz2 index.docbook

This coredumps, so I have to remove the doc directory from the Makefiles to 
get KDE to compile easily ...

Any ideas ?
