Not in the English documentation, no, since that's what those things are
called by 3Com in the Windows version of the software. However, a conduit
is: "a piece of software that transfers data between a Palm Pilot device
and an external (KDE) program, possibly transforming it in the process."
The words "channel", "canal", "transport", "synchronizer", and "updater"
come to mind as possible synonyms which you might render into your own
language. I know Finnish has a neat word for it that doesn't quite match
the semantics, and Dutch just uses "Conduit".
