I've just installed a KDE CVS snapshot, and here are
my questions:

1) Is the KOffice documentation stable enough to
start its translation?

2) What about the KDevelop documentation? Will it be converted to
the new po scheme?

3) Kate doesn't handle ISO-8859-2 chars properly, no
matter what the settings are. The dreaded ? marks appear
instead. It ought to be fixed before the first beta...

4) Kate/KWrite: the doc file name is still kwrite, and there
are a couple of references to KWrite in some other doc files.

5) Could the licence agreements be converted to the new po
doc scheme?

6) There is still no font management support and I will be
severely disappointed if it remains so. It's really an important issue,
especially for newbies. Just include a simply tool for pouring in those
ttf files...

7) It would be convenient to add a
(x) Use the default KDE font settings
option to the KDM setup module as the default choice.
The same applies to KMail (the folder list uses ISO-8859-1
by default even if the locale is ISO-8859-2).

8) We should be able to translate the title strings of the
splash screens (e.g. "KDE Control Center"). The best solution
would be to create them at compile time using a text-to-PNG or
similar utility.
