Hi!
Currently locales like Portuguese are refered as pt;
Brazillian Portuguese is refered as pt_BR.
Shouldn't we switch to using pt_PT?
See the attached bug report.

This problem turns up if the locale set is not complete or not compiled in.
GTK does not understand de, but de_DE for example. At least setting locale
to this helped.
