"Oblique" in most cases means "slanted" (ie if there's no italic font
available, the program just "bends" the characters to the right in
order to simulate an italic font). Apart from that, there also exist a
few oblique fonts which look very much like italic fonts but are not
entirely the same.

For most practical purposes (in KDE) you will probably get through if
you take it as "slanted".
